After receiving numerous parent phone calls requesting information during the first weeks of school, a new layer is being added to the website beginning October 13. The webteam is working to create a school information page on the award winning site that is easier to navigate.
“It’s intended to show all school information in a more condensed format that allows for parents to easily view announcements and access teacher websites,” McKenna Cooley, sophomore and web design student, said.
The new layer is designed to be an outlet for communication to parents and can be accessed via the information link in the top menu bar on the school website and at coronadocougars.net/school/.
“We’ve been working on this new layer for a while now, as parents are having a difficult time navigating the new site we created last year,” webmaster Michael Schwob, junior, said.
With calls and complaints from parents, it became apparent to the administrators that there needed to be a separate page devoted to parent information.
“We hope that these changes will alleviate the problems and miscommunication between the school and the parents,” Mr. Winn, the web design teacher, said.
But how did you do it?
