Four seniors have signed National Letters of Intent during the spring period. This program provides prospective student athletes, along with a parent and athletic director, the opportunity to sign an Inter- Conference Letter of Intent on a specific date. This certifies the student’s intention to enroll in a certain institution in the fall.

Attending Fort Lewis College is Isabella Martinez, she will be a member of the new golf program at the Division II school in Durango, Colorado.

“Signing to Fort Lewis means I will be the best player on the team. I am guaranteed a lot of playing time. This will be the school’s first year with a golf team and I am excited that I will get to be a part of the team since the very beginning,” Martinez, said.

Running on the men’s track and field team, Christian Alvarez signed to Maryville College, a Division III  school in Maryville, Tennessee.

Two seniors signed to play women’s basketball. Karlie Thorn signed to Knox College, a Division III school in Galesburg, Illinois. Dajah Washington signed to Grays Harbor, a junior college in Aberdeen, Washington.

“In the past, I’ve had plenty of tournaments in Washington. I chose Grays Harbor because the weather, environment, and pretty much everything is amazing there. They offered me a full ride scholarship which made it even better,” Washington said. “At the moment, I am going to study art, but I am sure it will change by the time I graduate. In the future, I’m looking forward to becoming successful.”
