Men and women in uniform risk their lives for our freedom and safety everyday. Students For Soldiers is a club that helps support the defenders of the red, white, and blue.

Their goal is to collect letters and donations to send to support troops who are far away from home. This year they have decided to do more community service and get involved with veteran hospitals and rehabs.

The club will also be sending out packages to many soldiers, one of which includes Mrs. Sparks’ brother-in-law. If anyone on campus has family in the military and would wish to send support, stop by room 809 on to give an address. They will be collecting letters and donating anything that students bring in that reminds soldiers of home.

“By being apart of this club, you can be making a difference for people who put their life on the line for you everyday,” Mrs. Jackson, advisor for Students For Soldiers, said. The club won second prize for their float at the homecoming tailgate parade and chose to donate the winnings to a veterans rehab center.

The club meets every Wednesday at 2:30. Stop by to show support for those who fight for your freedom.
