Do you have an interest in writing, web design, photography, or even drawing? Do you want to post your name on the school website and be recognized as a true talent? Then Coronado’s The ROAR is the elective for you.

Students will work with administration, write student profiles, create hype for sports games, cover assemblies and other school events, and share their opinions regarding various topics. All writing and photography is eligible to be posted on the new school website.

It is a fun class that will provide benefits for the future. Research studies show that journalism students who work on the school newspaper get better grades in high school, earn higher scores on their ACT, and get better grades as college freshman. This class looks good on job and college resumes. What could be better than that?

Interested students should have a minimum 3.0 GPA in English. See Mrs. Thompson, the adviser of The ROAR in room 213.
