Neon Gold is an indie-pop legend who is known for labeling top artists in today’s music world like Ellie Goulding, Marina and the Diamonds and Passion Pit. Recently Neon Gold discovered the band Basic Vacation, an alternative band consisting of three guys from New York City and Philadelphia.
Basic Vacation’s sound can be closely compared to the sound of Imagine Dragons. Both bands have an upbeat and enjoyable sound with a mixture of inspiring lyrics. Anyone can enjoy Basic Vacation’s music. With their exhilarating sound, the band is hard not to love.
For Basic Vacation, the newly released EP is nothing but ups. My personal favorite on the EP “Jamie” draws listeners in with the unique sound and relatable lyrics of teenage farce. “You’re in my Head” also a favorite, is catchy and a definite head bobber. With lyrics that relate to life and have meaning, Basic Vacation is a hit.
The band’s EP was released in October, and their top song “I Believe” has over one hundred thousand views on YouTube. “I Believe” has a catchy and energetic sound that is irresistible to sing along to.
