Recently, local high schools were asked by the school district to submit a story about one of their outstanding graduates in the Class of 2014. Mr. Piccininni, realizing how challenging this would be, elected to rally the Valedictorians and have them submit a story that spoke of them as one unified group. Here is their shared response.

“We the Valedictorians of Coronado High School proudly represent the Senior Class of 2014. Through academics, athletics, extracurricular activities, and community service, we have always striven towards excellence. Although we are diverse in our future endeavors, we have come to see ourselves as a family rather than peers in a classroom. Unified, we have the same drive to pursue our dreams. We feel prepared to venture out into the unknown, knowing that Coronado has instilled in us a depth of character that sets us apart from the rest. Ready for the future and what it holds for us, we can conquer any of life’s obstacles with a sense of optimism and purpose. We are on top and will always strive to be on top. We are ready to fight. We are a Cougar Nation.”
