Cougs dominate Basic at home

In men’s volleyball action, the Cougars won their last home match against the Basic Wolves with a final score of 3-1 on Monday, May 5.

 

The team started off strong, winning their first set with a score of 25-11.The boys continued to fight hard in the second game, winning with a score of 25-22, but lost in the third set with a score of 23-25. The Cougars brought it back and defeated the Wolves in the fourth set with a score of 25-18.

 

In honor of senior night, seniors Max Osmundson, Dallin Bryan, Logan Dickover, CJ Michie, and Blake Evans all participated in defeating the Wolves. Also, Michael Tatalovich joined his team in their last home game.

 

Max Osmundson had 15 kills and three aces, Dallin Bryan had 15 kills and 10 digs, and Travis Boman had 18 kills and 13 digs. Logan Dickover also contributed with two aces and 56 assists as well as Michael Tatalovich with one ace and two digs to finish off the game with a score of 3-1.

 

The Cougars’ current record is 9-0 in the South East League and 24-9 overall after this game. Their next game will be on Wednesday, May 7, at Foothill against the Falcons at 6 p.m.
