Within the upcoming year, Las Vegas will welcome some new companies like Ikea and Chic-fil-A while others such as Bath and Body Works and Victoria’s Secret will be adding stores.

Ikea will open its first location in Nevada during the summer of 2016 on the corner of West Sunset Road and South Durango Drive. This “one stop shop” has everything from bedroom sets to kitchen appliances and outdoor furniture. There will be over 300 job openings at all levels.

“I love interior design and just pretty much decorating, so I think it’s really cool that there is a store known worldwide for that in Vegas,” Nadia Boeckh, sophomore, said.

Chick-fil-A will also be coming to the Silver State for the first time within the next 18 months. This popular restaurant, known for its Georgia-style chicken, plans to open a location on Stephanie Street and Warm Springs Road. With Nevada’s growing population, the fast food chain could no longer resist opening up a restaurant for locals.

“I love Chick-fil-A’s fries and chicken nuggets. It would be awesome to have one in Henderson,” Lauren Bushell, sophomore, said.

The District will be welcoming new stores as well. Both Bath & Body Works and Victoria’s Secret plan to open this fall.

With all of these stores soon to come, there will be new places to eat, shop, and work.
