Coronado will host Open House on Wednesday, Sept. 30 starting at 6:00 p.m. The open house gives families and guardians a chance to interact with their students’ teachers at an informal event.

“Open House is important because it gives parents an opportunity to come see the school and meet teachers in a pleasant and comfortable environment,” Mr. Marshall, dean, said. “Teachers can show off their classrooms and goals for the year.”

When parents walk onto campus, they will be greeted by the guitar, choir, orchestra, and band programs playing throughout the school. They will then proceed to their child’s first period teacher.

During the beginning 15 minutes of first period, teachers will show an introduction video. The video welcomes families back, introduces some of the staff, and gives highlights of the previous school year.

The remainder of the period will be for the teachers to introduce themselves and give their presentations. After the period ends, parents will go to their child’s second period. Each class they attend is approximately 10 minutes. Families will go through their student’s schedules as their day normally plays out.

“My parents are very excited to meet my teachers,” Georgia Price, junior, said.
