Whether it be a teacher, grandparent, or friend, we all have a coffee, tea, or hot chocolate lover in our lives. Give him or her a gift that keeps on giving with a DIY sharpie decorated mug.

You will need:

-a plain mug

-sharpies (any color)

Let’s get started:

Step 1: Think of a design for the mug. The design can be personalized, like putting the receiver’s initials on the cup, or a cute message like “But first coffee.” Practice drawing the design before putting it on the cup

Step 2: Draw the design on the mug. Drawing over the design a few times may be needed to darken it

Step 3: Let the design dry overnight before baking it

Step 4: Bake the mug at 350° in the oven for 30 minutes. Put the mug in before the oven completely heats up and only take it out when the oven has cooled down. Baking the design twice can enforce the set but is optional

Just imagine the smiles on the coffee, tea, or hot chocolate lover’s face when seeing the perfect gift to hold all of those favorite drinks this holiday season.
