Celebrating for the last win this year, the freshman flag football team put their hands together to declare their undefeated season. The Cougars locked in their final victory this year against Basic winning 41-7 on Wednesday, Feb. 10.

“When the buzzer rang for the last time this season I had mixed emotions. I didn’t know whether to cry or to be excited for our accomplishments. All I knew was that I had 18 new best friends who could celebrate it with me,” Emma Logsdon, freshman, said.

To start off the game Reagan Raimer, freshman, scored the first touchdown of the night, adding seven points to the board after the completed one-point conversion. Shortly after, Quarterback Caitlin Shannon, freshman, ran a stunning 30-yard touchdown after a turnover from Basic in the first half.

“We’ve all worked super hard this season. They’re more than a team to me; they’re my family,” Cloey Holmes, freshman, said.

In the end of the second half, Shannon made the last pass of the year to Logsdon who scored the final touchdown of the game. Amanda Burt, freshman, secured the win with a completed one- point conversion.

“This group of girls is the closest team I’ve ever had, and it was a pleasure spending a season with them,” Tehani Travis, freshman, said.
