Women’s varsity soccer (League 5-0-1) defeated Silverado (League 3-3-0) 2-0 on Thursday, Oct. 13 at home.

“Listening to music helped me prepare, while getting warmed up,” Maggie Devlin, junior, said.

The game had a steady back and forth volley due to both teams being strong with their plays. The goalies also had a strong defense sending multiple shots out of bounds.

Angelica Morris, junior, stole the ball during a play in the first half.

The score at the end of first half was a tie 0-0 from both team’s ample plays.

Silverado had a powerful defense on the goalie end during the whole game. However, in the second half, Caitlyn Shannon, sophomore, and Jensen Boman, junior, both managed to score a goal against Silverado, giving Coronado the win.

“It felt awesome to score a goal, since I always give it my all at practice,” Shannon said.

Their next home game is Tuesday, Oct. 18 against Basic at 3 p.m.
