Tonight’s football game is a highly anticipated matchup against rival Green Valley. The administration has decided to introduce some extra precautions at this game and future games to ensure the safety of all who attend.

Mrs. Barlow, dean of students, and assistant principal Mrs. Delgado will be present during the game to prevent any type of contraband from being brought in: hence the rule of no bags of any type at the football games anymore.

“Large backpacks are just a security risk in general, and it makes it easier on us just to not allow them at any football game or similar event,” Mrs. Barlow, said.

If a student is caught attempting to bring a bag into the football game, it will be confiscated if the student has nowhere else to stow the items.

StuCo will host a tailgate event before the football game. Students can purchase hot dogs or hamburgers, and the concession stands will be open druing the game as well.

“I’m excited for our Cougars to take the win from the Gators, and to see what food is gonna be made at the tailgate this time,” Christian Fewer, 12, said.

The yearbook staff will have a supply of bubbles for the first five hundred students to come to the game.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the whole student section blowing bubbles,” Eira Traficant, 12, said.

The football game on Friday evening against Green Valley is a way to spend three to four hours of time, there are free bubbles, food to eat, and entertainment to enjoy.
