Student Council, broadcast, basketball, culinary, and athletics sell different foods throughout the week at both lunches to raise money for their groups.

Every Monday, the basketball team sells U-Swirl and Teriyaki Madness for $5. U-Swirl is available on Tuesdays also.

“Our goal is to raise money for travel, equipment, and uniforms for the team,” Coach Kaufman said.

Broadcast has been selling Panda Express every Wednesday for $5 for the past two years. The money is reinvested in the program.

“It [the money] goes towards getting new equipment and staying up to date with today’s news standards,” Tucker Clement, junior, said.

While the money that broadcast and basketball accumulate goes to their respective club/team, Student Council raises money for all their projects.

“The money we raise goes toward school activities that give back to the student body such as pep rallies, assemblies, free hot dogs, and other events for the benefit of the students,” Kika Daisley, senior, said.

The junior class sells Bell’s BBQ every Wednesday for $5 to raise money for prom. The senior class sells Blue Fin California rolls every Tuesday for $6 to fund graduation.

“I personally don’t buy food a lot since I pack my own lunch, but I think it’s a really great way to fundraiser for their clubs and teams. Many students forget to bring a lunch from home and because of the fundraisers that they provide, students get to buy a tasty lunch for the day. I think it’s a win-win situation,” Aya Nakano, senior, said.
