The Entertainment Capital of the World does not fall short in shows for tourists and locals alike to enjoy, topping out at over 150 productions every year. There are many ways to spend a weekend night out with family or friends, like watching one of the many spotlights Vegas has to offer.

Cirque du Soleil shows

Offering seven shows is the famous Cirque du Soleil company. Among them are “O” at the Bellagio Resort, “Mystere” at Treasure Island, “Zumanity” at New York New York Hotel and Casino, “The Beatles LOVE” at the Mirage, “Michael Jackson ONE” at Mandalay Bay, “Ka” at MGM Grand, and “Criss Angel MINDFREAK LIVE!” at the Luxor. From music to illusions, from acrobatics to artistry, their 90-minute shows run all year long. The starting price averages around $70.

“Le Reve – The Dream” at the Wynn

Voted “Best Production Show” in Vegas for six consecutive years, this act strays away from reality and enters a world of its own with colorful displays of water acrobatics. Gymnasts, aerialists, and synchronized swimmers all have their part, ascending and descending from the waters and the ceiling. There is even the added spice of tango dancing as one of the show’s signature acts. From Fridays through Tuesdays, prices start at $115.

Blue Man Group at Luxor

The Blue Man Group is nationwide, performing not only in Vegas, but in Boston, Chicago, New York, and Orlando. The show is a comedic act, rock concert, dance party, and even theatre all rolled into one. The three blue, voiceless stars engage their audience with quirkiness and visually appealing acts. But the main focus is the original music and self-invented instruments of the company. The Blue Man Group can be described as a soundtrack with the added bonus of a show, rather than vice versa. The price ranges from $85 to $188.

Celine Dion at Caesar’s Palace

The veteran singer from the 1990s is one of the most successful performers in pop music history, and she showcases her biggest hits in The Colosseum. Even after performing in Vegas for seven years, she still sells out tickets fast. The glamorous show is directed by Grammy Awards producer Ken Ehrlich, and the next one scheduled is on January 17, 2017 with the starting price of $95.

Jabbawockeez at MGM Grand

The Jabbawockeez won the first season of the reality dance competition “America’s Best Dance Crew” and has since gained greater recognition around the world by touring the United States and Asia. Their dance performances entertain the audience with unique choreography, booming music, and special effects such as laser lights. Known for their intricate dance moves and plain white masks and gloves, they get the audience to focus on the group’s movements as a whole instead of individually. The Jabbawockeez has been voted “Best Family Show” and “Best All Ages Show” for three years in a row now. Excluding shows on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the starting price is $49.99.
