Disguised as zombies, teachers will chase students at the Zombie Run on Thursday, Nov. 2 from 3 p.m to 5 p.m on the school track. The objective is for students to stay alive by not getting their flags pulled by the zombies. There will be prizes for best costume, most laps around the track, and the final survivor.

“I’m honestly thrilled about the idea of running away from the zombified teachers who made a fun game out of it last year. It’s going to be really cool,” Ryan O’Conner, senior, said.

The AP Executive Council is selling tickets for $5 at both lunches. The money raised will go to the victims of the Las Vegas shooting that occurred earlier this month.

“Last year we raised over $500 for Children’s Heart Foundation. This year all of the money is going to the victims of the Las Vegas shooting; every dime we raise is going to charity,” Mr. Poleski, AP Executive Council adviser, said. “We’re going to have some pretty awesome prizes from Red Rock Running Company, In-N-Out, Regal, Chick-fil-A, and U-swirl.”

Students are encouraged to dress up, but to keep in mind that all costumes must be in dress code. Masks and face paint are prohibited.

“I am super excited for the run as this is a way for students and teachers to have fun while donating to a very worthy and personal cause. I hope to see everyone there to be Vegas Strong,” Olivia Yamamoto, junior, said.
