The cheer team will host a cheer clinic for young athletes enrolled in kindergarten through seventh grade, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3.
“It’s a really exciting experience especially for young kids, and if they like it maybe they’ll decide to tryout with the time comes,” Sophie Hansen, junior, said. “I participated when I was younger; it was so fun for me.”
Held in the cafeteria, the clinic, along with learning choregoraphy, includes a t-shirt, games, and face painting. The participants will learn a routine which they will perform at halftime of the varsity basketball game on Wed, Feb. 7.
“I believe the cheer clinic is so important because as leaders it gets us involved in our community, and it teaches the younger kids of our generation school spirit,” Amanda Sbraccia, junior, said.
For more information on the clinic contact Ms. Starry. A parent must be present for registration.
