The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) always has fans waiting for the next exciting installment in the story. Whether it is the continuation of a story that has ended with a cliffhanger or the beginning of a new adventure, Marvel never fails to live up to its fans’ expectations. With this in mind, here are a few upcoming MCU movies.
The Guardians of the Galaxy movies are very popular series that are found in the MCU. The movie starts off with an unlikely meeting between characters from different galaxies, and at first, they are all against each other. As the movie progresses, they grow a team and fight off the evil in the galaxy. Many fans also love the series for its eclectic and beloved plotline. Returning for this movie is Chris Pratt as Starlord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and David Bautista as Drax. With this film series being a hit, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be returning for a third story on May 23rd, 2023.
Doctor Strange is another popular character and movie in the MCU. With his combination of brilliance and spells, he sometimes creates things that don’t easily go away. In his upcoming movie, Doctor Strange casts a spell that creates a portal into the multiverse. With this portal, a danger emerges, and he must recruit help to fix what he created. Marvel teased this movie at the very end of ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’. Fans started to grow more and more excited as his story would also continue. Some of the cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff. ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ will be expected in theaters on May 6th, 2022.
Another iconic duo that will have another movie is Ant-Man and the Wasp. Ant-Man and the Wasp have been known to be a very powerful duo as both can change to different sizes; the Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) can fly and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) can control ants with his mind, and that isn’t even half of their powers. The duo has left a lasting impact on Marvel and has quite obviously been successful. ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ is expected to be in theaters July 8th, 2023.
‘Morbius’ is a movie that has no prior movies and is a fresh story coming out of Marvel. This movie is anticipated to have lots of science and vampirism in it. A biochemist named Michael Morbius (Jared Leto) attempts to rid himself of a rare blood disease. The cure goes south and he ends up with some form of vampirism running through his veins. This movie is expected to come out April 1st, 2022.
Marvel never seems to run out of ideas for new movies and sequels for movies. However, always keep in mind, you might need to know some background information before you dive into some of the content in the MCU. At times it can be very confusing navigating what movie to watch in what order but once you realize what order to watch them in, you are in for a treat.
