On Friday, August 19th the senior class of 2023 is set to start senior year with multiple celebrations. Seniors will be celebrating their senior sunrise, the event will consist of various activities for seniors that morning and throughout the day. During the week of senior sunrise, most seniors also decorate their senior crowns to wear during senior sunrise. Seniors are also encouraged to wear their black senior shirts. Senior sunrise starts at 6:00 AM on the visitor’s side of the football field. Those who do not already have a senior shirt will have the opportunity to purchase one for $10.00 at sunrise, students are given a FREE light breakfast, and will also have the opportunity to take photos at the senior backdrop. The senior picture will be taken at 6:30 AM on the visitor side of the football field. Students must bring a valid ID/driver’s license to check in at senior sunrise.

Not only do seniors get up early for the senior sunrise festivities, but they also stay after school later that afternoon to attend the senior block party. The senior block party will be held outside of the theatre near the main entrance of the school. Names that have been entered in the drawing for senior parking spots will be announced promptly at 3:00 pm. The block party will be held from 3:00-5:30 pm.

The first home football game will take place after the senior block party. The game starts at 6:00 pm. The Cougars will take on the Cimmaron Knights. Come out and support your Cougars. Tickets are available on the TicketSpicket app, and the student fee is $5.00 per person. All students must present a valid ID upon entry.
