On March 23, 2023, Coronado’s varsity men’s volleyball team had a home game against Cimarron-Memorial High School. Coronado won the first three sets and now has another win under their belt.

The game officially started at 6:30 PM. Starting the game with high spirits by doing lots of backflips, and then it’s game on. Coronado takes the lead immediately in the first set which gives them the ultimate score of 25-8. The second set is no different with a finishing score of 25-13.

“Felt pretty good,” said junior Aiden Camacho. “We all played overall as a team and a good continuation to our 10-0 streak.”

The team has a bond that can be heard. The teammates on the sidelines jump with every perfect serve or set-up. On the court, the players are no different, high fives and chants in support of the teammate doing well. The third set begins, and although Cimarron tries to take the lead, the Cougars are quick to take it back. The third set ended with a score of 25-19.

“It’s honestly just easy to keep the energy once we all get rolling and it’s just having fun playing,” Camacho said.
