Cougars show mercy for Wolves

The softball team started their game off strong against the Basic Wolves, scoring seven runs and going through the batting order in the first inning.

The Wolves scored a run in the third inning making it a 7-1 game.

Pitcher, #15 Danielle Amato, senior, struck out seven batters throughout the game bringing her total for the season up to 29.

The Cougars started hitting in more runs in the fifth inning starting the batting order with #13 Katie Dawson, senior, who hit a single. After five batters and four runs scored and one person was left on base, #2 Basia Query, sophomore, got up to bat. Query hit a double bringing in #12 Brooke Younie, sophomore, to score the winning run. The game ended in a mercy ruling during the middle of the fifth inning.

The Cougars won 11-1 bringing their record in conference to 3-0. Their next game is Thursday, April 10 at Eldorado at 3:30 p.m.
