The Animal Advocates Club is conducting their annual Empty Paws Drive. They are collecting donations for local shelters through Friday Dec. 5. Any items for donation can be brought to room 923 or placed in the box by the door of the counseling office.

The club will be taking any of the following items, including food related donations such as, unopened treats, unopened peanut butter, milk replacement for puppies/kittens, canned cat food, treat-dispensing toys, supplies like new and gently used linens, newspaper, new collars or leashes, shoe boxes, dog beds, grooming supplies, spray bottles, rubber and latex gloves, CD players, paper towels, new toys, nursing bottles, fish tanks, cat scratchers, pooper scoopers, small-sized paper, and mops with buckets.

Animal Advocates members will take the donations to Heaven Can Wait (www.hcws.org) a non-profit animal humane organization that was formed in 2000.

“Normally we work with non-kill shelters, and Heaven Can Wait is one of the very many shelters that we donate to because they take almost every donation,” Bolken said.
