The men’s varsity soccer team went up against Eldorado High School on Tuesday, Oct. 7, tying them with a solid score of 1-1.

In the first half, after many attempted goals from both teams, Eldorado took the lead with a single point.

Junior Nicholas Fairchild attempted to make a goal that tied up the score, but all of his kicks were blocked by Eldorado’s goalie.

With 15 minutes left in the first half, Eldorado kept the pressure on. The goalie, senior Austin Kost, blocked the goal to keep the score at Eldorado 1-0, going into the second half.

With 18 minutes left in the game, senior Jalen Randolph shot to tie it up on the scoreboard 1-1.

“It’s always really good when you come back from going down in a goal,” Randolph said.

At the last minute, Eldorado aimed to score again, but Kost made a game-saving block, ending the game in a 1-1 tie.

“It takes a lot of heart and hard work to get back, and I’m proud with how we did,” Randolph said.
