Team Cougars Racing is a program that reinforces the skill Coronado High School students learns from technical career classes. Graphics, Web Design, Sports Marketing, Engineering, Media, Business, Press and Mechanical skills are all applied to the real life situation of operating a NASCAR race team.

During the 2009-10 school year Cougars will design graphics, a website, a marketing plan and finally the race car.

Mechanical students will learn to fabricate and maintain a NASCAR Super late model class car from scratch. Physical science and Geometry are only some of the core class skills that will be applied to fabricating and setting up the racecar to turn very fast.

Web Design students will design the team website in order to promote sponsors as well as announce all race results and news.

Graphic Design students will design all logos and the car's graphics to maximize noticeability and give sponsors the visual attention they require.

Media students will develop a commercial to promote Team Cougar racing as well as several documentary videos to show the excitement of racing a NASCAR race team.

Industrial CADD “Engineering” students will use their computer aided drafting and design skills to develop the research and development that our team needs to stay ahead of the competition.

All Team Cougar Racing students will gain the real life experience in their field and the necessary team skills to be successful in life, but most of all everyone will have fun!
