Picture this: a roaring audience, intense song remixes, and a bunch of guys dancing in their boxers. This was the Boy Bands portion of the Spring Assembly where the junior class boy band won.

A team of seven juniors, John Paul Adeva, Braden an Alfern, Cole Ballard, Justin Hart, Travis Little, Chris Proctor, and Dalton Simpson, kicked off their performance with a booming dubstep song, followed by “Pop That,” a “Say Something” remix, “Nae Nae,” “Happy,” a “Let Her Go” remix, and “#SELFIE.” During their killer performance, the boys did backflips, jumping toe touches, danced with sombreros, and even ripped off their red pants-all to a screaming crowd.

Judging the boy bands were teachers Mr. Stump, Mr. Parris, and Ms. Kingman.

“The judges thought long and hard on a decision. The junior class,” Mr. Stump said and the gym filled with deafening cheers.

The sophomore and senior classes did well also. Members of the senior boy band were Nate Bashaw, Dyson Clement, Siosi Goupil, Jake Kaufman, RJ Khalaf, Chris Roys, and Matthew Saltonstall. Their performance included “No Church in the Wild,” “Story of My Life,” “Animals,” “Ms. New Booty,” “SexyBack,” “Oops… I Did it Again,” and “#SELFIE.” They danced with desks and took off their pants as well.

Members of the sophomore boy band were Blake Crenwelge, Theo Clark, Parker Evans, Sam Fagel, Zil Romero, and Michael Van Larr. The boys’ set included “Wrecking Ball,” “Highway to the Danger Zone,” “Party Rock Anthem,” and “#SELFIE.” During their show, they ripped off their pants, carried Zil Romero up the bleachers, and performed backflips.

“Oh my gosh, the assembly was so clutch!” Alexa Nappi, freshman, said after the assembly.
