Homecoming

The Reaping is here. Students are on the edge of their seats as the proposals to go to homecoming  are being made. Before the games begin, spirit week is set for October 13-17.

Kicking off the spirit week is Wilderness Monday when students can dress in animal print. Tribute Twin Tuesday is next, followed by Wacky Wednesday, District Thursday, and closing with Class Colors on Friday.

“I am a huge fan of TheHunger Games, and I’m super excited for Tribute Twin day, because my friends and I are planning on dressing up as Katniss Everdeen. It is always fun on Twin Day,” Allison Orlinick, junior, said.

On Friday, seniors wear red, juniors wear black, sophomores wear orange, freshmen wear gray, and teachers wear white to show their school spirit.

“I am most looking forward to dancing and having a good time with my friends as well as being able to look back on those moments and smile,” Garrett DePaulis, junior, said.

The dance will be held on October 18 at Hanneman Hall Ballroom in Sun City Anthem, 2450 Hampton Road. There will be finger foods, a DJ and a photo booth. Semi-formal to formal attire is recommended. The voting for king and queen will begin at the dance from 6-9 pm, and crowning will start at 8:15pm.

Student Council is selling tickets for $15.  The price of tickets will go up $5 each week until the dance.

Tickets went on sale on September 22.
