Smilers gathered at the MGM Arena to experience the Bangerz tour and the return of Miley Cyrus to the stage. March 1st was the first time Miley was able to show her true personality and not hide behind the blonde wig of Hannah Montana.
Miley entered the show on a slide that resembled her tongue and opened with “Bangerz.” She also sang her chart-topping songs such as “wrecking Ball”, “Party in the U.S.A.”, and “We Can’t Stop.” She had a set list of 24 songs which is more than all her other concerts.
There was no holding back for Miley, she tested her boundaries throughout the whole performance. She definitely transformed herself from Hannah Montana to a genuine and complete version of Miley, herself.
Refreshing, edgy and daring, she tempted the crowd with dares and full on entertainment. These dares started during the song “Adore You’ when she prompted the audience to kiss anybody around them to show their love. Miley promptly bended down from the stage to kiss a girl in the first row.
The Vegas venue was energized. You could feel the hype in the crowd. Everyone was participating by singing as loud as they could to every song. The magnitude of the stage was impressive. From the wolf prop to the fireworks nothing was left untapped. Not only did Miley have an encore, she surprised the crowd when she came out with “Party in the U.S. A.”- a blast from the past.
Miley didn’t disappoint, and no matter what you hear regarding her wild behavior she was quite the entertainer. Her talent is top notch, and we will be hearing about her for a long time.
