With spring in bloom and summer fast approaching, StuCo is hosting the last all-school spirit week with a music festival theme. From March 23-27, students are encouraged to dress their best to fit each day: Battle or the Bands, Coronado Music Awards, Cougchella, Coronado Island, and Cougarpalooza.

“For spring week we [Student Council] really wanted to give the students a chance to pick their spirit days, so we allowed them to vote for their favorites,” Dylan Zigler, sophomore, said. “What they chose resulted in the days in the upcoming week. After all the spirit day choices, we found that most shared a musical vacation aspect which we respectively named CHS Musicfest.”

Battle of the Cougar Bands ia Monday’s theme. Students can sport a band or singer’s merchandise from a concert, grunge clothes, or even pajamas.

The CMAs, or Coronado Music Awards, is the focus for Tuesday. To take part, dress in country attire, like a cowboy.

Students have the option to dress in their best neon or tie-dye fashion for the theme of Wednesday, Cougchella.

Coronado Island and Beach Boys day is Thursday. Students can embrace their inner beach bum and wear Hawaiian or tropical gear, floral, or dress similar to a tourist.

The last day of spring spirit week, Friday, March 27, will be Cougarpalooza. Wear CHS gear or red, white, and blue. The spring assembly will take place that afternoon at 1:15 in the gym.
