The perfect time has come to indulge in all the delights that come along with cooler temperatures, such as enjoying warm drinks and snuggling by the fire. It’s nice to warm up with a yummy treat that is not only easy to make but will also have a delicious outcome. These brownies, along with their sweet icing, are the perfect chocolatey delight for the cold season.

BROWNIE BATTER:

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder

FROSTING:

  • 3 tablespoons softened butter
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar

First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease and lightly flour an 8-inch square baking pan. Next, in a large saucepan, melt ½ cup of butter. Remove the melted butter from the heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and one teaspoon of vanilla. Beat in the cup of cocoa, the ½ cup of flour, salt, and baking powder either by whisking or by mixing the ingredients on a low setting. Spread the batter into the prepared pan. All that’s left is to put them into the oven for 25 to 30 minutes.. A quick way to check if the brownies are done is with a toothpick. Stick the toothpick in the center of the brownies, and if it comes out clean, they are fully baked and ready to enjoy.

To make the frosting, first combine softened butter, cocoa, honey, vanilla extract, confectioners’ sugar. Stir the mixture until smooth to create the perfect frosting any sweet tooth would love. It is best to frost the brownies while they are still warm but not hot. After all this is done, the last step is to enjoy!
