The Coronado Marching Band felt the luck of the Irish when they were invited to Dublin, Ireland for the 2015 St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The entire marching band will travel to Ireland next March for a five day trip, just in time to  to represent the school and the state of Nevada in the Dublin St. Patrick’s Festival Parade. During the parade, the band will march through the city center in an international artistic parade.

“This trip will improve our band so much by giving us the experience of performing in not only local places but in another country! Also it will be a great bonding experience for everyone. Going to Ireland is going to be amazing,” Christine Keylian, freshman, said.

Traveling by plane, the students will haul equipment and large instruments needed to march in a parade. In Ireland, they will visit Dublin’s highlights like the General Post Office, Merrion Square, the National Museum of Ireland, and local castles.

“I’m beyond excited, and I think the band will have a blast,” Suhani Parikh, sophomore, said.
