Interact Club hosted its third annual talent show Friday, Feb. 6, in the theatre. The club was raising funds for ASPCA, an animal rescue organization, and The Heifer International Project, a nonprofit organization that empowers families to overcome hunger.

“Three years ago, the leadership of the club thought it would be a good idea to have students show the talent that they have to raise funds. We have had a [talent] show every year since,” Mrs. McGuan, Interact Club adviser, said.

With a total of fourteen acts, the club gave students the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of their peers. The performers included juniors Leonardo Navarrete, Nia Banks, and Justin Tejeda, Nina Neville, senior, Maxmillian Ashitani, sophomore, Valentina Mentchoukov, freshman, Kent Tsubouchi, junior, Manoj Mathew, senior, Serena Sanford, senior, Tiffany Leard, freshman, Aubrianna Staker, senior, Avry Stock, sophomore, and Taylor Smith, freshman.

The talent show provided some of the performers the chance to show the student body talents they are unable to share during a regular school day.

“Dance is my passion and it has been since I was two years old. The stage has always been my home and dance has given me the chance to show my emotions,” Neville said.

The talent show was hosted by Kailee Clement, junior, and Benjamin Viton, senior. The show also featured a raffle for different gift cards.
