Student Council asked the student body to have input on the homecoming theme for this year’s bash, and the votes are in. The theme was narrowed down to three options: Harry Potter, Haunted Homecoming, and Out of this World. After a poll via tallyspace.com, the winning theme Haunted Homecoming is the winner.
“It was important to let the student body be apart of this year’s homecoming because Student Council wants students to be able to enjoy a homecoming that they were included in,” Makenna Irvine, freshman, said.
StuCo will host the homecoming bash in the quad after the football game on Oct. 29. Students who plan to attend the event are encouraged to make a night of it by including the pregame tailgate and the football game.The spooky-themed bash, which will feature a haunted mansion, will immediately follow the game. Student Council also plans to have a Scare Cougar booth, games, and much more.
“I am excited for the haunted homecoming because I believe we can tie that into many ways. We just have to think and ask the students their opinion on it as well. I think it is a great idea because our bash is two days before Halloween. It’s the perfect match,” Alessandra Elena, sophomore class president, said.
