To upgrade or not to upgrade: that is the question. The iPhone 7 is the newest smartphone on the market. With it’s reveal, numerous controversial topics have come up, making the decision to upgrade a trending topic.
So here’s the deal:
Apple put a new spin on personal photography after upgrading to the newest camera technology. The iPhone 7, like the iPhone 6 and 6s, is built in two sizes. The plus-sized phone has a dual-camera system with two lenses, meaning that it uses optical zoom for closer perspective images and higher quality shots. However, both phones ship with software that allows the cameras to take crisp photos in low light. This not only decreases the eye glare in photos, but it also makes taking squad pics more enjoyable at night. The phone comes with a new flash unit as well, containing four amazingly bright LEDs that make pictures pop in even the darkest environments. The camera is one of the most useful tools used daily, and Apple takes great pride in the quality of this piece of their devices.
Then there’s the removal of the headphone jack. Apple decided to ditch this dinosaur of a port, but it comes with its own consequences. The original headphone jack was invented over 50 years ago. With the new system of listening to music through the lightning port, the iPhone’s charging port, the user can play their tunes in higher quality, which is always a step in the right direction. It was especially important because it contributed to the new IP 67 Water Resistance that the iPhone 7 is sporting this year. The headphone jack took in lots of water, and although getting rid of it was a tough choice, Apple’s decision was justified. Hundreds of angry customers made it difficult for others to decide to trade up, but hard decisions like these are what revolutionize technology.
The annual question is whether the new iPhone will be “better” than the last. These concerns range from the processing speed to the use and the length of the battery’s life. The iPhone 7 represents these standards clearly. For instance, the new chip fluxuates energy usage depending on the task. This saves battery and enhances performance. The iPhone 7 is expected to last an hour longer than the iPhone 6s, contributing an extra long charge when it counts.
This year’s phone has struck up some concerns for “Apple Eaters.” Some don’t think it’s that different from last year’s model, while others just can’t say goodbye to the headphone jack. Whatever the concern, Apple made some important changes that make the switch worth it. The world changes with innovation and brand new features that people expect each year with a new iPhone model. The iPhone 7 is no exception. It is simple to use, and reimagines the way people use technology. Despite the highly critical concerns consumers have worried about, Apple’s new addition to the iPhone lineup is an incredible piece of modern technology and is worth every cent. The simple answer is yes; it is worth the money to switch. It’s an improvement worth the pretty penny as it changes the way consumers live.
