Ripped, toned, and swole. The cougar campus is joining the trend of getting fit and losing weight with the opportunity to work out in the student gym before school starts.

The student gym is open every morning during the week when school is in session at 7 a.m. Students can work out, watch t.v., or talk with friends inside the weight room. Coach Cooper, the weight training teacher, is available to give pointers and explain the proper way to work a part of the body.

“If the student gym wasn’t open than I don’t know if I would be awake. It really helps to wake you up in the morning,” Jonathon Price, senior, said.

Students that cannot afford a gym membership can come before school and get their daily exercise.

“The student gym helps people who want to get fit, get stronger and help improve their body and condition themselves,” Byron Bolanos, senior, said.
