Although this year’s homecoming has a bit of a twist to it with a bash instead of a dance, the bash will still include homecoming court, just like every other year.

Homecoming court voting started on Wednesday, Oct.14  and ends on Friday, Oct.16 after second lunch. Vote at  www.tallyspace.com/vote/chsvote.

The initial ballot will have every student’s name on it.

“Since we want every student to have an equal opportunity to win homecoming class royalty, there won’t be any nominations,” Samantha Sims, student body historian, said.

The senior class in only allowed to vote for their fellow senior peers, while all other grades are given the option of voting for not only the grade they are in, but also for the senior homecoming court.

StuCo will announce senior homecoming court on Friday, Oct.16 after school in the quad.

The final voting to select the top winners from each grade will be from Oct. 23 through Oct. 26.

The assembly MCs will announce class royalty, which includes freshman lord and lady, sophomore duke and duchess, and junior prince and princess, at the assembly on Oct. 29.

The homecoming court will ride in the halftime parade during the football game on Oct. 29, and that’s when the student body will discover who the king and queen are, but they will not be crowned until the homecoming bash.

“I’m really looking forward to the homecoming bash and especially to see the crowning for the senior homecoming king and queen. I intend to have a fun-filled night hanging out with my friends for our last ever homecoming,” Amanda Yuen, senior, said.
