Cougars shut down Falcons

The Cougars defeated the Foothill Falcons 5-0 on Wednesday, Oct. 14.

In the first half of the game, Nicholas Fairchild, senior, scored to put Coronado in the lead 1-0 early in the game.

“The hard work and dedication of our team contributed to our win today,” Preston Judd, junior, said.

The Cougars ended the first half 2-0 after a series of assists between Michael Schwob, senior, and Judd.

Coronado gained possession of the ball after a penalty was called on Foothill.

The Cougars blocked all of the Falcon’s attempts to score.

Then Nick Killian, senior, scored another goal for the Cougars.

Oliver Meza, junior, got the ball forward to put the Cougars in position to score again.

Coronado came out on top with a solid 5-0 win.

“We played a great game today. We are going to continue to work hard throughout the season,” Harrison Skinner, junior, said.
