Their festival performance is March 10 at UNLV’s Ham Hall where they will be graded and ranked. At the end of March, orchestra will travel to Boston to work with artists from Boston University and Berklee School of Music.

“I am really excited about our upcoming concerts. We just got our music, and it’s really cool sounding; it’s going to be a fun concert,” Cierra Sawyer, junior, said.

In their pre-festival concert, choir will display their award winning talents in the theatre at 6 p.m. on Feb. 22. Madrigals is performing at Green Valley on March 24 while Concert Choir will represent at UNLV on March 25. Members of Bella Voce will take the stage on April 1 at Basic Academy of International Studies. Choir is also traveling to Hawaii from April 6-10 to sing at the Pearl Harbor Memorial site.

“I’m so excited to be going to Hawaii with all my choir buddies,” Gabby Rivera, senior, said. “It is going to be so much fun and really cool to sing at the memorial.”

Featuring Bob Miller Middle School’s Symphonic Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony will perform their pre-festival concert on March 8 at 6 p.m. in the theatre. At the Las Vegas Academy theatre on March 25, Symphonic Band will play at 11 a.m. followed by Wind Symphony at 4:30 p.m.

Before heading to their festival concert to play multiple styles on March 30 at 10 a.m. in the Las Vegas Academy theatre, guitar will exhibit their talents at their pre-festival concert. The concert is March 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the theatre. Also in March, Guitar will travel to Loyola Marymount University Guitar Festival in Los Angeles.

“We are doing Baroque, Classical and Romantic repertoire,” Mr. Nishimoto, said. “The most popular one will probably be ‘Brahms’ Hungarian Dance.’”
