On his Can’t Stop Us Now tour Pitbull, Mr. 305, Mr. Worldwide made a two-night stop here in Las Vegas at Zappos Theater in Planet Hollywood. The opening performer for the Can’t Stop Us Now Tour was Iggy Azalea. The shows took place during the first week of Hispanic Heritage month making the concert a special opportunity for fans. Many fans in the audience brought the flags of their Hispanic countries as a celebration.

“Overall, it was an unforgettable night,” senior Zoe Valdez said. “My friend and I had the opportunity to go down into the pit, so we were able to see Pitbull perform very closely. Pitbull is an amazing performer and in between songs he gives amazing motivational speeches.”

Pitbull’s speeches and the lyrics in his songs have made him quite an icon in the newer generation. Pitbull performed several hit songs such as “Fireball”, “Hotel Room Service”, and “Feel This Moment”.

“The Pitbull concert was a very entertaining and memorable experience,” senior Ty Meyer said. “We had amazing seats, we could see the stage very well and the sound in Zappos theater was great. The opener Iggy Azaela was an amazing performer with great choreography and backup dancers.”

In her speeches in between songs, Iggy Azaela spoke about how she never imagined that she would be on tour and performing in Las Vegas when she was a little girl. Iggy Azalea played her hit songs such as “Fancy”, “Problem” and “Black Widow ”.

“This was my first concert, and it was the best experience,” senior Amy Cho said. “I had such an amazing time, I didn’t know that concerts were this much fun. My friend and I met a guy in the pit that was dressed as Pitbull which was very funny.”

Social media platforms such as ‘Tik Tok’ have made it a running joke for fans to attend a Pitbull concert dressed as Pitbull. The trend stemmed from teenage girls buying bald caps, dress shirts, and sunglasses and wearing these items to attend the show. This trend has grown to the point where Pitbull’s merchandise team has started selling ‘Mr. Worldwide Costume Kits’. The Can’t Stop Us Now tour will have its final show on October 19th in Hollywood, Florida at Hard Rock Live.
