Coronado’s softball shut out Eldorado at home on Monday, May 5, with a final score of 14-0.

Katie Dawson, senior, and Brooke Younie, sophomore, both had three at bats with three RBI’s, while Nicole Hardy, senior, and Marissa Kopp, freshman, both had one triple.

Starting off the first inning Coronado scored two runs and during the second inning had another 11 runs. Eldorado was unable to score, during the fifth inning, so, due to the mercy rule the game ended.

The softball team is currently first in the Southeast League with a 8-1 in league standing, and 18-13 overall after this game.

The next game will take place on today, May 7, at Foothill High School at 3:30 p.m.
