Cougars knock down Falcons

The men’s varsity bowling team took the win against the Foothill Falcons Thursday, Jan. 22, ending with a final score of 823-672 in their third match.

“I love my team and how well we work together,” Sam Espiritu, senior, said.

All three teams, men’s varsity, women’s varsity and JV, played simultaneously, while alternating alleys to keep the match running smoothly. Men’s Varsity finished the first match with a score of 887-741, while JV lost 628-587, and women’s varsity triumphed with a score of 638-568.

“It’s really important to keep your form,” Shota Fujimoto, senior, said. “Having a good shot can make or break a match.”

The coach, Mr. Gregorich, a teacher from Desert Oasis, cheered the team from the sidelines, offering advice and support.

At the end of the second match, the Cougars stayed on top with mens varsity ending in a score of 823-672. JV lost again with a final score of 649-544, followed by the women’s varsity losing 607-517.

“My team and I have high hopes that we can recover for our loss and do even better next time,” Abby Brown, senior, said.

The final match ended with men’s varsity winning 843-776, JV losing 669-557, and women’s varsity losing 676-484.
