Vans’ Warped Tour, a single day music festival sponsored by the shoe company, returned to Vegas on Tuesday, Aug. 9.

The festival set up shop at the Hard Rock hotel and featured performers from genres ranging from pop punk to hip hop all day long.

At the start of the day, The Maine performed first on the second of the Journey’s stages, with songs from their latest album “American Candy.”

Shortly after, there were several meet and greets/signings set up at the variety of tents in the middle of the festival. Each band had their own merchandise tent where anyone had the chance to meet them, no matter how big or small they were.

Festivalgoers could also cool off in the two different pools when the Vegas heat got too strong, which was clearly a plus – as there was a poolside stage for people to play on as well.

The Cyclops stage, however, had some of the most enjoyable performances including the pop-rock and electronic influenced group Against the Current and Good Charlotte’s band proteges Waterparks – who played songs from their EP and teased their debut album shortly after.

Towards the closing of Warped Tour, more crowds came together for Sleeping With Sirens and Tonight Alive. As the sun went down, it was State Champs who closed and put on one of the best performances of the day, as they performed a fun, energetic, pop punk filled set featuring songs from “Around the World and Back.”

The day was a blast, and a great success for the Tour’s return to Las Vegas- leading them to the high possibility of coming back next summer for another amazing day of music, meet and greets, and more.
